a spot of colour

16th March 2018, Embleton Bay, 8am

A grim morning with a 45 mph Easterly wind and horizontal rain.  The sea is angry and foaming with rage.


16th March 2018, Christon Bank, 3pm

You don’t expect to find much in the way of colour at this time of year.  Nor do you expect much in the way of fungus but these scarlet elf cups (sarcoscypha austriaca) are colourful beauties to brighten up a grey day.
